Jadyn's 9th Birthday

Jadyn wanted a sleepover for her 9th birthday party, but I still wanted to come up with an activity for them to do. When a family friend offered to do the girls hair, I thought why not go all out and do their make-up, get dressed up, and have a little photo shoot. It was a lot of fun! I let the girls do their own posing, and I have to say some of the stuff they came up with caught me off guard. It looked like they all had been avid watchers of Top Model, which is not the case. Anyway, it was a great success!!

Tim and Allyson

I can't say enough about Tim and Allyson. Working with them was an ideal experience in every way. And I highly recommend their venue- Vesica Piscis Chapel. The church and reception are in one lovely location, which makes it nice for all involved. Click on an image to enlarge.

Hannah and Mark

Mark and Hannah are a beautiful couple and it was a blessing to see so much love surround them on their special day! Their wedding day was bright and sunny-not ideal light for photography- but when it came time to take the bridal party portraits, beautiful billowy clouds had rolled in- thank you, God! Hannah's Bridal Portraits

Sometimes all of the variables of a photography shoot come together and create an ideal shoot. This session was one of those times. I say "one of those" as if it happens frequently, which it does not. The storms forecast for that weekend did not happen, it was not hot and humid, Hannah was gorgeous, the location was gorgeous, time wasn't a factor, we had an entourage of lovely helpers. It was great!! The only bad thing was having to wait a month to post these (until after the wedding). So, let's not wait any longer! I present...the lovely Hannah Pepin.

Engagement Session

I just recently met Tim and Allyson and it has been a pleasure. They are the definition of low maintenance. They are relaxed, easy-going, happy people, and we had a leisurely ole' time shooting their engagement session. Click on an image to enlarge.

My Sweet Luke

There are a few things I want to say about this entry. First, I recently got my son's hair cut into a spikey 'do, which makes him look like a little man, not a little boy. My friend said to me after seeing him, "awww, he finally looks like he's older than one." This is not necessarily a good thing for a mom who wants to freeze him in time! :-)
Second, I discovered during the photo session that my son does not know how to smile for the camera. His cute natural smile was replaced with pursed lips and a squinty eye. I was able to catch a few candid laughs and smiles, and that is what I will have to settle for this time around.
